Unfortunately Brian Fleischmann was unable to complete the event. However, Bevan Docherty finished 2nd and Matthew Reed (No 6) 5th. A year later, Bevan Docherty won a bronze medal in the Beijing Olympics. That event was won by Jan Frodeno, Simon Whitfield finishing in second place.
