DARDANELLE STRAIGHTS (Nov. 4, 2014) - A Turkish pilot is brought aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) to help navigate the ship through the Dardanelle Straights in route to the Black Sea. Ross, homeported in Rota, Spain, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interest in Europe.
