Marines from the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, disembark a helicopter during a military operation called "Iden Ket" in Vietnam on July 28, 1965. The operation aimed to search and clear an area 12 miles south of Chu Lai. A total of 17 Viet Cong were killed and 5 suspects were captured during the two-day operation. The photograph was taken by SSgt Savatt, Jr. as part of American military activities during the Vietnam War.
