Having a sniff around. Norfolk, UK: AN ADORABLE new-born pup was pictured just a few hours old dozing on a UK beach with its umbilical cord still attached. Images shows the young up rolling in the sand and smiling as its mother lies nearby. The common seal can reach up to six feet long and weigh around 370 pounds. These images were taken by wildlife photographer Madalayne Kenpster, aka Mk-Photography, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. ?I was just by myself on a trip to Horsey Gap when I saw the moment,? she said. ?It was my first time at the beach and seeing the seals in their natural environment. ?It was truly magical seeing the seal and pup, who must have been around one to two hours old with their umbilical cord attached. ?Mum was still very close to pup, so the pup was definitely not abandoned. ?I love to capture animals in their natural environment o conservation breeding programmes where animals are endangered and reintroduced to the mediadrumimages/@madalaynes_photography
