Day One of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay that began in Victoria continued to Elk Lake with the passing of the flame from the 2008 Olympic gold medal men's eight rowing team to a group of junior rowers, all from the Victoria City Rowing Club. From the dock, club coach, Aalbert van Schothorst, will continue his leg of the relay with the flame.
