The improved forms of this beautiful flower have placed them in the same rank popularly as the Hardy Phloxes and Pceonies. Coming into flower about the middle of June and contin- uing for five or six weeks, they li'l in a period when flowers of this attractive type are particularly wel- come. They succeed in almost any soil and position, but respond quickly to liberal treatment. They like rich soil and plenty of water when they are forming their buds and developing their Bowers. We offer one of the choicest and largest collections, each one distinct and desirable. These are divided into two classesâthree- and six-petalled â the six- petalled sorts having the heaviest, showiest flowers, while those with three petals are, perhaps, the most artistic. Both are equally valuable as cut flowers, for which purpose they should be cut in the bud state, permitting the blooms to expand after being placed in water. Order by mime nr numbt r.
