They have had a pretty fair crop this season and people went almost wild over them. This variety was introduced by Mr. W. F. Allen, Salisbury, Maryland, in 1906. Its parentage is un- known. It is unfortunate that in some sec- tions plants not true to name are being sent out for this ; You cannot afford to be without this great variety and you should get your plants from the introducers so that you can be sure they will be true to name.
