the Death Sentence

Every year, the citizens of Jaipur celebrates Makar Sakranti, or the harvest festival. Practically everyone fly kites to reflect their rejoice of this festival --- however, this photo is an example of turmoil caused by pleasure gone wrong. The citizens use sharp threads, or prominently called "Chinese Manja" to fly their kites. Intentedly, they used Manja for the fun of cutting others' kites, but they do not realize the impact this action brings to millions of birds residing in the city. Their wings are cut, their bones are cracked, their eyes are blinded, and their throats are strangled.
