Doncaster, South Yorkshire. – A Royal Air Force Vickers Wellesley bomber aircraft of 76 Squadron at RAF Finningley, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. The aircraft is being refuelled in preparation for flight. The Vickers Wellesley was a medium bomber that was designed and produced by the British aircraft manufacturer Vickers-Armstrongs at Brooklands, near Weybridge, Surrey. In April 1937, was the first RAF squadron to be equipped with Wellesleys.
