The main fabricof this building must be of the latter part of the fourteenthcentury—the arches of the princijml window being of a veryexcellent though simple type. Venetian balconies, of whichthis palace afiords such good examples, are very beautifuland very characteristic. Nowhere else are they seen insuch perfection ; nowhere else, i)erhaj)s, were they ever soabsolutely necessary.
