Urine test for cystitis. Urine sample being tested with a kit used to test for cystitis. Here, the patient has haemorrhagic cystitis and the urine sample shows a red colour due to the presence of blood. Haemorrhagic cystitis is inflammation of the bladder that causes symptoms including painful urination (dysuria), red blood cells in the urine (haematuria), and bleeding (haemorrhage). Causes of haemorrhagic cystitis include chemotherapy, radiation, or infection.
