Theyyam also known as Kaliyattam, is a ritual popular dance from Northern Kerala. Theyyam incorporates dance, mime, music and links with the rudiments of ancient tribal culture and the worship of the great heroes and ancestors’ spirits . There are over 400 separate Theyyams, each one with their own music, style and choreography.
