The General Theological Seminaryof the Protestant Episcopal Church situatedon what is called Chelsea Square, between 19th and 20th Streets, and Ninth and Tenth Avenues. It was founded in 1819, and has 6 professors and 100 students, a three yearscourse and a library of 20,000 volumes. Its group of picturesque buildings occupy the entire block.
