The truck load of crude rubber, shipped by the New YorkCommercial Co. to an out-of-town customer, and lost sight ofbefore leaving the city, as reported in the last India RubberWorld, was recovered within a few days. One Hiram Man-del, a man with an unsavory record, was arrested by the NewYork police on suspicion, when a confession was extorted fromhim which led to the recovery of the rubber in a junk shop,. where, the detectives say, the rubber was not known to bestolen goods.
