UXO Clearance, Houay Dok Kham village, Xieng Khouang province, Pheng, 24, now a supervisor with MAG, giving instruction on the use of the new CEIA detector. She volunteered to take part in clearance of her village after her brother was killed by a 105mm shell that he and some friends had found. The village was heavily bombed during the Vietnam war and many unexploded devices (UXO) remain in the ground making the land impossible to farm. Now MAG, the UK based mine clearance charity is working with villagers MAG has trained to clear the land.
