TOWNSHEND ISLAND, Australia (July 14, 2017) Seaman Courtney Lucarell, from Youngstown, Ohio, attached to Naval Beach Unit 7 (NBU), signals to a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) as it enters the beach to drop off equipment as part of a large-scale amphibious assault exercise during Talisman Saber 17. Talisman Saber is a biennial bilateral exercise held off the coast of Australia meant to achieve interoperability and strengthen the alliance.
