The Christkind post office in Engelskirchen in the Bergisches Land has resumed its work. People reading and answering the letters
In Germany, the Christkind brings Christmas presents to the children on 24 December. During the pre-Christmas period, the children write a wish list to the Christ Child. Many children send their wish lists to angel churches (which means church of angels). The Christkind post office in Engelskirchen in the Bergisches Land has resumed its work on Thursday. On the first working day, more than 9,000 wish lists had already piled up, Deutsche Post announced in DŸsseldorf. Together with 16 helpers, the Christ Child will answer thousands of letters from children from all over the world until Christmas Eve. Last year, more than 126,000 letters from over 50 countries arrived in Engelskirchen.
