041212: Artesia, - More than 350 family members, friends and officials from the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection came out to celebrate the 1,000th graduating session of the Border Patrol Academy in a historic formal ceremony. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, acting CBP Commissioner David Aguilar and others congratulated the class of 42 and instructors at the academy on the milestone.
