Perhaps the most important place for annual white sweet clover asa soil improver will be as a catch crop, to be seeded after early po-tatoes, grain, or any crop coming off by early August. Seeded atthat time this will make a considerable growth before frost. At 16 Department Circular 169, U. S. Dept. of Agriculture. the Arlington Experimental Farm, Va., the annual white sweetclover was seeded on August 11.
