Bronze censer with gold encrustations, Chongzhen period, Ming dynasty, China, 1628-1644. A bronze censer with a globular body and a wide gilt edge to the mouth, decorated on the shoulders with two gilt taotie mask handles. The body is decorated on the exterior with extensive gold encrustations.
