At its centre was a coffin with boots, hard hat, hi-viz tabard and safety glasses, surrounded by more helmets, one for each of the 43 workers killed this year. The slogan for the day was 'Remember the Dead - Fight for the Living'. After the speeches, a wreath was laid and after a period of silence 43 black balloons were released, one for each of the workers killed last year.
