While some 60,0(J0 men constitute thepersonnel of the Navy, constant dischargeof men from the service and the enlistmentof new recruits to take their places makea continuous flow of patients, and keepthe proportion requiring services at aboutthe same ratio. As about ninety per centof the personnel have defective teeth orneed dental treatment, it will be readilyseen that the time of the dental surgeon iswell occupied with even the restricted classof work now being undertaken. With further development it is hopedthat this service may be a great aid inmaking our Navy more efficient throughthe improved health of our men. ;i. 1—Guys Hospital, London. 2—Royal Dental Hospital, London. 3—College of MedicalScience of Buenos Aires.
