Danny Kaye and Louis Armstrong. Danny Kaye (born David Daniel Kaminsky; January 18, 1911 - March 3, 1987) was an American actor, singer, dancer, comedian, musician, philanthropist, and cook. His performances featured physical comedy, idiosyncratic pantomimes, and rapid-fire novelty songs. Louis Daniel Armstrong (August 4, 1901 - July 6, 1971), nicknamed "Satchmo", "Satch", and "Pops", was an American trumpeter and vocalist. He is among the most influential figures in jazz.
