And the sign of the key is thecondition of the staff just at the right of the clef, which is called the signahtreplace. Thetones of the key are all represented in the signature place. If the tones C, D, E, F, G,A, B, are represented in the signature place the key is C, because these tones make thekey of C. The signature is natural, because the degrees of the staff are in their normalor natural condition. The Signature is Natural.
