But it is worth while to call attention to the beauty of springtime on the plains so that those who can may make the most of this beauty. In addition to sand lilies and evening primroses there are milk vetches, multi-colored loco weeds and the^brilliant yellow buck beans (Thermopsis). Grotesque prickly pears and other cactuses, so abundant in many places, take on a brighter.
