The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
