Madryn Street in the Dingle area of Liverpool, the birthplace of Richard Starkey ( Ringo Starr ) the drummer of the Beatles. The corner house, number 59, Madryn Street was the home of Ringo's grandfather with whom he spent a lot of time with after his parents divorce. Part of the 'Welsh Streets" area of Liverpool, they are due to be demolished from October 1st. 2010 after being compulsory purchased for clearance and redevelopment despite protests from local residents and Beatle fans worldwide.
