An Italian snaphaunce lock pistol,dated 1781. Two-stage barrel,octagonal then round after baluster,with smooth bore in 13 mm calibre,engraved on upper side and with cut portrayal of head at the breech. Finely engraved and cut snaphaunce lock. Mechanism somewhat fatigued. Well-grained full stock with en suite cut iron furniture. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Expertly reworked pistol,partially restored in fore-end area.
