South Pacific Ocean (June 17, 2004) Р An Argentine Navy Dassault Super Etendard jet aircraft commences a Тtouch and goУ landing, during flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The Super Etendard is a carrier-based single-seat strike fighter first introduced into service in 1978. It is armed with two 30mm guns and can hold a Varity of air-to-air weapons and air-to-ground munitions. Reagan is currently circumnavigating South America to her new homeport of San Diego, Calif.
