A Swiss sempach-type halberd, 17th century. Sturdy spear point with quadrangular reinforcement at the base. Short blade with a slightly curved edge and a sturdy hook on the back. Round socket with two broad languets and two spikes set into the sides. Original hard wood shaft with an iron shoe and end spike. There is a brass collection label nailed to one side.
