Philips' 5uff keghorns. It has the same characteristics as otlier varieties of the Leghorn family, hut is a little larger in size. The universal verdict of all who have tried them is that they excel all other fowls as egg producers, and the eggs are larger than those of other Leghorns. Being very hardy, quick growing, plump breasted, and yellow skinned, they will make broilers at an early age; in fact, it is supposed they have a perfect combination of the best qualities of the best breeds. All these charac- teristics, taken in connection with the buff plumage and style carriage, make them beyond all question an ideal fowl. The proper color should be a deep, rich buff" throughout; the under color will, no doubt, run lighter. Our stock of this variety is very fine, and we offer good birds at the following prices; Single male $; pair $; trio, cock and two hens $ Eggs for hatching 75e per 13. §rown fceghorns. They arc excellent foragers, and during the summer months pick up a good share of their living. In the win- ter they need a good, warm house to prevent the freezing of their combs. Prices: Single male $; pair $ trio, cock and 2 hens $ 13 eggs 75c. 51acl< kangshangs. To much cannot be said in favor of the Langshang fowl as it is one of the hardiest breeds in existence, easv to raise and not subject to disease; being prolific layers, good brooders, excellent mothers, and active foragers. Besides this they are very tame. They lay a large buff egg; especially they are good winter layers. Prices: Single male $; pair $; trio, cock and two hens $ Eggs for hatching 75c per 13
