Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, MACBA


The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, or MACBA) was designed by the American architect Richard Meier and opened to the public on November 28th 1995. The atrium space, which is designed as a vertical gallery, parallel to the main facade, filters and distributes light into the different parts of the building while connecting interior and exterior spaces through ramps.
