Known as 'Station X', Bletchley Park was home to the code-breakers, Alistair Denniston, Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman, Dilly Knox, Peter Twinn and many others who worked around the clock to break the German Enigma and Lorenz cipher machine encryption systems. Bletchley Park is acknowledged as the birthplace of modern computing.
