Three young women bushwhack through miles of prairie, gathering data for Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation.
Alex Guest (blond), of Massachusetts, Leah Mabee (tall with hat), of Yankton, , and Teri Ness (braid and darker clothing) form the north team and traverse across perhaps five miles of prairie, scanning the land for bison. They count what they find and record the count electronically. Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation at American Priarie Reserve, south of Malta, north of Six women, aged 19-26, are working at least 30 days of this summer, living in tents on the American Prairie Resere, learing scientific measurement techniques and also providing useful informaton to the APR staff about the APR ecosystem.
