Dead Christ Supported by Angels, ca. 1710, Oil on canvas, 51 1/2 x 38 1/4 in. ( x cm), Paintings, Francesco Trevisani (Italian, Capodistria 1656–1746 Rome), Trevisani, of Venetian origins, spent most of his life in Rome, working for the papal court. He depicted the subject of the body of Christ held by angels on several occasions, most importantly for Pope Clement XI, and for the Papal Nephew Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni
