Gold Medal Winner Vestra Wealth's Gray's Garden Hampton Court Palace Flower Show :Jeff Gilbert

The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the largest flower show in the world. The Show is held in early July, and run by the Royal Horticultural Society at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey, West London. The show features show gardens, floral marquees and pavilions, talks and demonstrations. Erected on the north and south sides of the Long Water in Hampton Court Park, it is the second major national show after the Chelsea Flower Show but has a different character, focusing more on environmental issues, growing your own and cookery, while also opportunities to buy a whole range of gardening accessories, plants and flowers. The garden is inspired by the Irish designer Eileen Gray, famous for her Modernist furniture and architecture. Central to the design is a 1920s style pavilion that includes some pieces of her furniture. The pavilion nestles between multi-stemmed trees and long water troughs surrounded by clipped box hedges. The planting in the garden is of cool blues, creams and greens, with drifts of agapanthus and sedges. Scented roses, lavenders and metal cubes filled with herbs give out a delicate aroma reminiscent of bygone days.
