Food on the International Space Station. Astronaut Peggy Whitson (left) and commander Valery Korzun with hamburgers aboard the International Space Station (ISS), in the service module Zvezda. Whitson, fellow flight engineer Sergei Treschev, and Korzun were the crew of Expedition 5 to the ISS, which docked on 7th June, 2002 and undocked on 2nd December, 2002. Space Shuttle Endeavour delivered the Expedition 5 crew during mission STS-111 and the crew carried out approximately 25 new investigations while aboard. The ISS is a joint effort by several national space agencies, including NASA. It orbits Earth at an altitude of around 350 kilometres.
