Nearly two weeks ago, these Marines deployed with less than 12 hours notice to answer the nation’s call and serve as a force in readiness for the Joint Task Force. Today, we were able to put boots on the ground and work side-by-side with sailors and local volunteers to distribute aid to areas most impacted by the earthquake. There is truly no better friend than a United States Marine.”
