Charles Barr, Skipper of the COLUMBIA in the last international yacht races, now under engagement to to sail the new cup defender, Charles Barr was an accomplished sailing skipper who captained the winning America's Cup yacht three times. He is also best known for setting the record for the fastest crossing by a sailing yacht of the Atlantic Ocean on the schooner ATLANTIC in the 1905 Kaiser's Cup Transatlantic Race.
