Two Steam Locomotives at Datong Steam Railway Museum in China


Datong Locomotive Works are in Datong city of the Shanxi province in China. The factory produces Electric locomotives, employs a vast number of employees and exports products to the USA and India among other countries. It also houses a museum of its steam locomotives and regularly holds International Steam Locomotive Festivals, which attracts many steam railway enthusiasts. Datong was one of the main manufacturers of steam locomotives and it produced its last, which forms part of it museum, in 1988.
