Lunar festival - Dalat, Vietnam
Tet Trung Thu (Trung Thu festival) is the traditional vietnamese / chinses lunar / moon festival. It is held each year on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calender. Lunar festival is very popular and especially well-liked by the vietnamese childrens and teenagers. The youngsters are walking / parading through the streets in the evening hours with chinese lanterns wearing masks and colourful habits, making a lot of noise and begging for sweets and small gifts. Also weddings are popular on the days before and after the lunar festival. Traditionaly Trung Thu is the festival of midautumn. Dalat town, Vietnam. September 2008.
