The Capitol Dome in Black and White


The Capitol Dome, a massive sandstone dome, in Capital reef national park, Utah, USA in Black and white. This mountain consists of white colored Navajo Sandstone, and it is this and similar names from which Capital-reef National Park gets its name. They are part of the Water pocket fold, a monocline which formed due to the Laramide Orogeny in the late cretaceous.
