He thentook up the study of medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia, receiving hisdegree in 1889. Since that time he has beenpractising medicine in New York City. He servedas Assistant Surgeon to the Manhattan Eye and EarHospital, Throat and Nose Department, from 1890to 1897, and Assistant Surgeon in the Ear Depart-ment of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary since1896. In 1899 he became Chief of Clinic in theEar Department of the LTniversity and BellevueHospital Medical College. Dr. Brandegee is amember of the American Laryngological, Rhino-logical and Otological Society, Medical Society. W. p. BRANDEGEE of the County of New York, the Yale Club andthe University Glee Club of New York. The de-mands of an active practice have left him no timefor politics. He married, December 28, 1888,Caroline Morris.
