C13th stone coffin & carved grave cover in porch of St Mary's Church, Beaumaris: Princess Joan (Siwan), illegitimate daughter of King John who became wife of Llywelyn ab Iorwerth. Joan, shown with wimple & coronet, her hands raised in prayer, was originally buried at Llanfaes Franciscan friary nearby, founded 1237 by her husband in her memory.
