This illustration of the ruins of the Statue of Ramses II Iand his Temple at Karnak dates to the early 1900s. The nearly 200-foot-long temple features three chapels, a hypostyle hall with eight columns, a vestibule with four columns, and an open court. The court is surrounded by statues of Ramses III in his Jubilee vestments (can see in left background). A statue of Ramses stands by the entranceway here. Ramses III (died ) was the second Pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty in Ancient Egypt.
