City of Edinburgh, Scotland. Picturesque sunset view of Edinburgh city centre with the Balmoral Hotel clock tower and Edinburgh Castle in the distant background, and the Dugald Stewart Monument, on Calton Hill, in the foreground. Designed by William Playfair the monument is dedicated to Dugald Stewart, the Scottish philosopher. This photograph has been produced by merging three differently exposed images of the same scene. All of which were captured at approximately the same time - on a tripod mounted camera – and digitally processed to produce the resulting artistic rendition of the scene.
