Fuel cell in a laboratory. This fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen (from air) to create electricity, heat and water as a by-product. Fuel cells do not have the moving parts associated with traditional energy sources such as engines, nor do they require recharging like a battery. They are long-lasting, efficient and lightweight, and are thus ideal for use in vehicles and industry, and for domestic use. Photographed at Nuvera Fuel Cells, Milan, Italy.
