Saturday, June 22, 2013. Water continues to overflow the banks of the Bow River the day after peak flood levels in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Heavy rains caused extreme flooding in the city and led to declaration of a state of emergency, mandatory evacuation orders for the downtown core and many residential areas, road closures and power outages.
