The BRP Corregidor (AE-891) is a marine accident response (MAR) & buoy tender ship. The two ships are part of the Philippine Coast Guard fleet to protect the country's territorial waters. This week, the Secretaries of State & Defense visited the archipelago to announce $500M in military aid to boost PH defense, modernize the Philippine armed forces & coast guard, at a time of growing friction in South China Sea.
