Andy Strickland, commanding officer of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86), delivers remarks during a reception held on the flight deck during a recent port visit in Suva, Fiji Oct. 15, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
